What kind of synth set up do you need to make sounds/music like this?
Anyone take a guess at what they use or what could be used to produce similar music? I'm interested in getting a synth/sampler but it seems incredibly complicated and I have no idea where to start, so ideas for what creates the kind of sound I want is probably a start! Cheaper alternatives would be helpful too. Thanks!
But you have all of the sounds overlapping? Aren't a lot of buttons pressed? I really don't understand synths, I admit that, but I play guitar and used to play piano so I figure I can learn. The song sounds very complicated. How do they create those sounds in the first place? Would a microkorg actually be able to create and play that full song?
Answer:
That sound is known as an arpeggiator. They come built into a lot of synths and softwares and this song is just a simple basic Square wave sound with the arpeggiator switched on. I have a MicroKorg that does the job absolutely fine. They're cheap, well made, sound great and will do the job perfectly
ps. You press less keys than you'd think
